Preparing the Ground

"Farming is not usually an activity that
most people associate with huge financial
success. It’s a tremendous amount of
physically challenging work … work that
can be destroyed in a flash by Mother Nature.

"But farmers instinctively understand the
most critical step to success, which most
people overlook: Preparing the ground.

"Before you can plant … you must break
up the soil, yank out the boulders and
rocks, and pull up the weeds that would
otherwise compete with the plants you want
to grow. Only then can you reasonably
expect to reap a bounty of produce from
the seeds that you plant.
